
Philip J. Degnan is a Partner and an aggressive trial lawyer with over thirty years of courtroom experience. He has been certified as a Civil Trial Attorney by the Supreme Court of New Jersey. This designation is granted by the New Jersey Supreme Court only to attorneys who have demonstrated superior levels of experience, education, knowledge and skill in civil trials. Less than 2% of active New Jersey attorneys have obtained this certification.
He represents clients in a broad variety of high exposure cases including premises liability, construction accidents, transportation and fraud. Since 1996, Philip has handled over 1,000 civil cases and has tried to jury verdict cases throughout New Jersey and Pennsylvania State and Federal Courts. Philip is a respected leader and senior trial attorney within MOODK’s casualty department. He is often called upon enter to cases on the eve of trial, and he welcomes that challenge.
Philip is a thought leader and frequently lectures before insurance professionals and attorneys on trial strategy, demonstrative evidence and thinking “outside the box.”
In his free time, Phil is an avid football, field hockey and rugby fan. He is the former Secretary for New Jersey Rugby, a non-profit organization which manages and promotes the sport of rugby in New Jersey.
