Paul D. Kelly is Of Counsel to Marks, O’Neill, O’Brien, Doherty & Kelly. He is admitted in New Jersey and Pennsylvania.

Paul is a graduate of New York Law School where he received his Juris Doctor degree in 1983. He received his bachelor’s degree in history from the University of Notre Dame in 1980. Paul was selected and served as Law Clerk in the Superior Court of New Jersey to the Honorable Donald A. Smith Jr. in 1984.

Since completion of his clerkship, Paul’s practice experience has involved insurance defense litigation on behalf of multiple carriers regarding motor vehicle accidents, premises liability actions, products liability claims and Title 59 matters representing public entities. He also has extensive experience involving employee healthcare benefit plans, both as to claims administration and recoveries in matters venued in the Federal and State Superior Courts and Worker’s Compensation Courts throughout the State of New Jersey. Paul has represented a nationwide recovery vendor throughout New Jersey with respect to healthcare benefits liens for twelve years. Paul has previously served as a municipal Board of Health Solicitor for twelve years.

As to community service, Paul served on a Municipal Court Community Dispute Resolution Committee for several years. Paul actively supports Gloucester Catholic High School. In 2019 he was recognized with an award for service to the school as a Trustee to the Alumni Board and work on the Scholarship Committee for more than twenty years. He also served on the Middle States Accreditation Committee for the school for two terms.

Since joining Marks O’Neill, Paul brings his vast experience to represent clients in a broad variety of cases including a variety of casualty matters, including premises liability, construction accidents, and transportation claims.

Together with his wife, Patricia, and his three adult sons, Paul enjoys the New Jersey Shore, outdoor sports, and college athletics.
