C. Michael Schwander Jr. is an Associate with Marks, O’Neill, O’Brien, Doherty & Kelly. He is admitted to practice in Delaware and Pennsylvania.

Michael graduated from the University of Delaware with a bachelor’s degree in criminal justice and sociology, with a Minor in Legal Studies. He attended Widener University’s Delaware Law School, where he graduated magna cum laude in 2017. Upon graduation, Michael was awarded the William J. Conner Memorial Award for his outstanding work in Agency law. During his time in law school, Michael served as an extern for the Delaware Department of Justice’s Consumer Protection Unit, wherein he worked to craft legislation regarding mobile homes. Furthermore, Michael volunteered at the Delaware Law School’s Veteran’s Law Clinic, where he helped to protect the rights of disabled Veterans in Delaware.

Prior to joining Marks O’Neill, Michael clerked for the Honorable Anne E. Hartnett and the Honorable Kathleen K. Amalfitano of the Delaware Court of Common Pleas, Kent County. During his clerkship, Michael wrote several opinions that addressed novel areas of the law regarding Insurance.

Outside of work, Michael enjoys exploring the outdoors, and attending sporting events.
