Lucas Klirsfeld is an Associate with Marks, O’Neill, O’Brien, Doherty & Kelly. Lucas is admitted to practice in New York and New Jersey.
Lucas graduated from Penn State University in 2014, with a Bachelor of Music Education. Lucas attended The Maurice A. Deane School of Law at Hofstra University, graduating in 2020.
During law school, Lucas was awarded the Ruskin Moscou Faltischek Award for Outstanding Appellate Advocacy and the Gold Public Service Certificate for working over 750 pro bono hours throughout law school. Lucas was the Associate Editor on the Hofstra Law School Moot Court Executive Board and was a member of the Hofstra Law School Moot Court Interscholastic Team.
In addition, during law school, Lucas interned as a law clerk for the Honorable Corey E. Klein in Long Beach City Court in Long Beach, New York. Lucas also interned as a law clerk in the Town Attorney’s Office of the Town of Huntington on Long Island, New York and was a summer law clerk in a plaintiff’s labor and employment firm in Melville, New York.
Prior to joining Marks O’Neill, Lucas was employed at a New Jersey law firm where he represented community associations by instituting actions involving the collections of community association assessments, negotiating vendor contracts, and advising on New Jersey community associations laws. In addition, Lucas was employed at litigation firms in New York, where he represented individuals in family law, personal injury, negligence and real estate litigation matters.
Outside of work, Lucas enjoys lifting weights, running, spending time with his wife, and reading mystery and thriller novels.
