Alia S. Khoury is an Associate with Marks, O’Neill, Brien, Doherty & Kelly.  She is admitted to practice in New York.

Alia graduated from Lehman College, magna cum laude, with a bachelor’s degree in Double Honors English Language.  Alia earned her Juris Doctor from New York Law School. Alia was a Trustee Scholar and also earned a Certificate in Alternative Dispute Resolution from New York Law School.

Alia began her career as an Assistant District Attorney in the Special Victims Unit, where she prosecuted highly sensitive matters and quickly distinguished herself in the courtroom. She regularly argued bail applications, suppression motions, and evidentiary hearings, taking lead on cases from initial investigation through trial readiness and building a reputation for confident, effective advocacy.

In private practice, Alia represents corporate and individual clients in complex civil matters, including commercial litigation, medical malpractice, and employment disputes. She has advised businesses on a range of legal and operational issues, including drafting and negotiating contracts, structuring agreements, and assessing risk in high-stakes situations. Her work reflects a dual focus: aggressively litigating disputes when necessary while also helping clients prevent them through strategic, business-minded counsel.

Alia approaches her practice with a sharp, results-driven mindset, combining prosecutorial discipline with a practical understanding of how legal strategy intersects with business objectives.

Since joining Marks O’Neill, Alia brings her experience to the Casualty, Healthcare, Professional Liability, Construction and Transportation practice groups.
