Maalya Ramachandra is an Associate with Marks, O’Neill, O’Brien, Doherty & Kelly. She is admitted to practice in New York.

Maalya graduated from Rutgers University, New Brunswick, with a bachelor’s degree in Criminal Justice. She then attended Widener University Delaware Law School and graduated with Pro Bono Distinction. Maalya served as the Treasurer of the Asian Law School Association and was a member of Widener Law Review, serving as a Staff Editor then its Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion & Alumni Editor.

During law school, Maalya participated in Delaware Law School’s Dignity Rights Clinic in conjunction with the ACLU and continued an externship with the ACLU the following semester. She also served as an intern for the New York State Office of the Attorney General and as a law clerk for a nationally recognized litigation firm.

Prior to joining Marks O’Neill, Maalya worked as a Staff Attorney for a non-profit organization and focused her work on tenant defense.

At Marks O’Neill, Maalya brings her experience to the Casualty, Construction, Professional Liability, and Healthcare & Catastrophic & Excess Loss practice groups.

Outside of work, Maalya enjoys traveling, trying new restaurants, and spending time with her family.
