Michael J. Pentola is an Associate with Marks, O’Neill, O’Brien, Doherty & Kelly‘s New York City office. He is admitted to practice in New York. He is also a member of the New York State Bar Association, as well as an attorney member of the Animal Defense League.
Michael graduated from Hunter College in 2013, with a Bachelor of Arts in Sociology and a minor in English. He graduated from the Maurice A. Deane School of Law at Hofstra University in 2018. During law school, he was managing editor of the Hofstra Moot Court Board as well as a semi-finalist in the Fall 2016 Hofstra Moot Court Competition. He was also selected to represent Hofstra Law at the 2018 Jerome Prince Memorial Evidence Competition at Brooklyn Law School.
During law school, Michael gained substantial legal experience, having served as a law clerk at a New York litigation firm. In his final year of law school, he served as a legal intern in Hofstra Law’s Veterans Legal Clinic Practicum, advocating on behalf of armed service veterans in matters involving disability claims, discharge status updates, and agency violations under the Administrative Procedure Act.
Since joining Marks O’Neill in 2019, Michael has represented clients in a number of general liability matters.
Michael was born and raised in East Rockaway, New York and now resides in nearby Long Beach, New York. He enjoys cooking, U.S. history, cycling, music, film, and rooting for the New York Giants.
