Michael Andrews is Of Counsel with Marks, O’Neill, O’Brien, Doherty & Kelly. He is admitted to practice in the State of New York, the Southern District of New York, and the Eastern District of New York.
Michael graduated from the University of Maine with a Bachelor of Arts degree in English. He then graduated from Vermont Law School. While in law school Michael clerked for a local attorney and participated in the drafting of an appellate brief for the Vermont Supreme Court.
Prior to joining Marks O’Neill, Michael was a solo law practitioner in the law firm he founded in 2000. In his practice, Michael had a wide-ranging litigation practice from general liability matters to state and federal overtime cases, civil rights litigation, and other matters. He has argued appeals in the First and Second Departments of the New York State Appellate Division as well as in the Second Circuit Court of Appeals. Prior to starting his own firm, Michael worked for regional litigation law firms in New York City. Michael commenced his legal career as a member of the United States Army’s Judge Advocate General’s Corps and was stationed at Fort Drum, New York and later at the United States Military Academy at West Point, New York.
At Mark O’Neill, Michael brings his extensive experience to the Casualty, Construction and Transportation practice groups.
Outside of work, Michael enjoys spending his time with his family, skiing in the winter, boating in the summer, and generally spending time in the outdoors.
