John K. Arias is an Associate Attorney with Marks, O’Neill, O’Brien, Doherty & Kelly’s New York City office. He is admitted to practice in New York State. He is also a member of the American Bar Association and the Hispanic National Bar Association.
John graduated from Hunter College, City University of New York in 2005, with a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science and Film Studies. He attended St. John’s University School of Law, graduating in 2014. During law school, John attended evening classes while working full-time and volunteered at the Queens County Civil Court where he gained invaluable litigation and courtroom experience.
Prior to joining the firm, John served as an Assistant District Attorney in Kings County where he was responsible for handling violent felonies and led numerous jury trials to top-count verdicts. There, he successfully obtained over 100 felony indictments, negotiated hundreds of pleas, and supervised criminal court arraignments. As a prosecutor, he also assisted in the prosecution of multiple high-profile homicide cases and long-term investigations.
He enjoys hiking, outdoor cycling, and classic films.
