James French is an Associate with Marks, O’Neill, O’Brien, Doherty & Kelly. James is admitted to practice in the New Jersey Superior Court, the United States District Court for the District of New Jersey and the Third Circuit Court of Appeals.
James graduated from Temple University with a bachelor’s degree in psychology. James then attended Villanova University Law School.
During law school, James worked for Villanova’s Legal Aid Clinic, assisting clients in immigration, landlord tenant, and labor and employment matters. James also worked as a summer associate for an Am Law 100 firm where he assisted in the firm’s Financial Industry Group.
Prior to joining Marks O’Neill, James was employed for nearly a decade at a large regional creditors’ rights firm, litigating disputes arising under TILA, RESPA, FCRA, and a variety of common law claims in both federal and state court. He is experienced with motion practice, the discovery process, trial practice, and post-trial work.
At Marks O’Neill, James has extensive experience with civil litigation concentrating on general insurance liability matters. He represents clients in a broad variety of cases including premises liability, construction accidents, and insurance coverage disputes. His practice includes both federal and state court litigation.
Outside of work, James enjoys running, spending time with his wife and four kids, attending sporting events and concerts, and coaching his children’s sports teams.
