Frances (“Fran”) Deveney is a Partner with Marks, O’Neill, O’Brien, Doherty & Kelly’s New Jersey office. She is admitted to practice in both the federal and state courts of New Jersey. She also is a member of the Camden County Bar Association.
Fran graduated from Rutgers University in 1994, with a bachelor of science in Finance. She attended Rutgers Law School, graduating in 1998 from the school’s joint degree program. During law school, Fran was a quarter-finalist in the Hunter Moot Court Competition, and she was honored with the best brief award. Also Fran had an externship with the Honorable John A. Sweeney (Ret.), where she gained experience working in the Civil Division of the Superior Court of New Jersey, Burlington County.
Since joining Marks O’Neill in 1999, Fran has represented clients in various practice areas including numerous facets of professional liability. Currently, she focuses her practice in medical malpractice. She has extensive experience in all aspects of litigation including trial and appellate work. Fran has argued before the New Jersey Supreme Court and has several published cases. She is dedicated to providing her clients, who are mostly healthcare professionals, with the most effective representation possible.
Fran is a resident of Medford and enjoys spending time with her husband and three children, who are active in sports.
