Chantez Degraffenreid is an Associate with Marks, O’Neill, O’Brien, Doherty & Kelly. She is admitted to practice in Pennsylvania.

Chantez graduated cum laude from Coastal Carolina University in 2018, with a bachelor’s degree in Political Science. She attended Drexel University, Thomas R. Kline School of Law, graduating in 2021. During law school, she was awarded CALI Excellence for Future Award for Best Student Performance in Medical Malpractice and Introduction to Trial Advocacy and was a recipient of the Sadie T.M. Alexander Book Fund Scholarship. Chantez also served as a Staff Editor on Drexel’s Law Review, a Marshall-Brennan Fellow, competed in the prestigious Constance Baker Motley Mock Trial Competition and was an e-board member of the Black Law Students Association.

During law school, Chantez interned with the Honorable Lillian Ransom of the Philadelphia Court of Common Pleas. Also, she gained valuable and practical experience as a summer associate and law clerk at insurance defense firms. Prior to joining Marks O’Neill, Chantez served as a Judicial Law Clerk for the Honorable Shanese I. Johnson of the Philadelphia Court of Common Pleas.

Since joining Marks O’Neill, Chantez has focused her practice on matters involving general liability and transportation accidents.

Outside of work, Chantez enjoys attending concerts, dancing, and watching movies. She is also an e-board member of the Philadelphia Chapter of the National Bar Association, Women’s Lawyer
