Carol Tempesta is a Partner with Marks, O’Neill, O’Brien, Doherty & Kelly’s Westchester office. She is admitted to practice in New York and Florida.
Carol graduated with distinction from California State University Northridge in 1995, with a master’s degree in Environmental and Occupational Health. She obtained a Bachelor’s degree in Biology from State University of New York at Binghamton in 1992. She attended law school at University of Miami, graduating cum laude in 2000. During law school, she received awards in writing and was part of the business law review.
During law school, she clerked at a defense litigation firm and gained experience in general liability and asbestos matters. During her master’s program, she interned at Glendale Memorial Hospital and worked on drafting the Joint Commission on the Accreditation of Healthcare Organizations Compliance Manual.
Carol has represented clients in a wide variety of commercial and personal injury litigation in both federal and state courts, as well as represented real estate companies in mold litigation. She also has been involved in exposure cases relating to benzene and polychlorinated biphenyl. She focuses her practice defending companies in asbestos litigation and has served as national coordinating counsel and local counsel for several manufacturers. Carol is also a member of Marks O’Neill’s Diversity & Inclusion Committee.
Carol is an animal rights advocate who supports the ASPCA and other local rescue groups. She lives with her husband, Paul, and their children, Liam and Siena, in Westchester County.
