Brooks T West is an Associate with Marks, O’Neill, O’Brien, Doherty & Kelly, P.C. He is admitted to practice in Pennsylvania.

Brooks graduated from Temple University Beasley School of Law. While at Temple, he served as a Teaching Assistant for the Integrated Transactional Program, participated in the Black Law Students Association, and was selected by faculty to serve on a student panel interviewing prospective law school faculty candidates.  Brooks earned his Bachelor of Arts in English, with minors in African American Studies and Business Fundamentals, from The Pennsylvania State University. A Bunton-Waller Merit Scholar and Dean’s List honoree, he won multiple university writing awards and was published in Kalliope, Penn State’s literary journal.

During law school, Brooks worked as a law clerk assisting in criminal, civil, and domestic matters, and as a remote law clerk for the Western District of Pennsylvania Chapter 13 Bankruptcy Trustee. He also gained experience at the United States Bankruptcy Court for the District of New Jersey as a law clerk to the Honorable Andrew B. Altenburg, Jr., where he conducted legal research, drafted opinions, and contributed to high-profile cases, including BowFlex Inc.’s Chapter 11 proceedings.

Brooks serves on the Board of Directors for his high school alma mater, Cardinal O’Hara High School, and holds leadership roles with the school’s Alumni Association and Young Alumni Committee. While at Penn State, he served as President of FOTO, a THON organization, and represented the group by dancing for 46 hours straight in the fight against pediatric cancer.

Since joining Marks O’Neill, Brooks has focused his practice on casualty, transportation/trucking, toxic tort/mass tort/environmental and products liability.

Outside of work, Brooks enjoys attending concerts, taking Peloton rides, and cheering for the Philadelphia Eagles, especially as a proud “Tush Push” enthusiast.
