Rebekah Mears is an Associate with Marks, O’Neill, O’Brien, Doherty & Kelly‘s Maryland office. She is admitted to practice in Maryland and is a member of the Maryland State Bar Association.
Rebekah graduated from Eastern University in 2009, with a Bachelor’s degree in English Literature and a minor in Legal Studies. She attended University of Baltimore School of Law, graduating in 2016, cum laude. During law school, she was a member of the local chapter of the Women’s Bar Association of Maryland, the Women’s Law Center of Maryland, Phi Delta Phi, and was a Senior Staff Editor of the University of Baltimore Law Review.
During law school she worked at a small regional firm in Cecil County, Maryland and was a summer judicial law clerk for an administrative judge at the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission. There, she gained valuable experience in litigation practices, client counseling and application of law.
Rebekah also spent a semester as a student attorney with the University of Baltimore Family Law Clinic, representing clients in divorce, custody and protective order matters. She represented clients in Baltimore City and Baltimore County courts.
She began working for Marks O’Neill as a summer law clerk before her last year of law school. Since joining Marks O’Neill in 2017, Rebekah has represented clients in toxic tort, product liability, general liability and professional liability matters.
Rebekah enjoys playing music, reading nerdy books and spending time with her family and friends.
