Michael T. Hamilton is a Partner with Marks, O’Neill, O’Brien, Doherty & Kelly’s Maryland office. Michael is the Environmental Practice Group leader for the firm, with over 22 years of experience. His practice is spread across jurisdictions of Pennsylvania, New Jersey, Maryland and Washington D.C. in areas of environmental and toxic tort litigation, construction defect and professional liability.
Michael is admitted to practice in the Court of Appeals of Maryland, District of Columbia Court of Appeals, Supreme Court of New Jersey, Supreme Court of Pennsylvania, U.S. Third Circuit Court of Appeals, U.S. Fourth Circuit Court of Appeals, U.S. District Court for the District of Columbia, U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Pennsylvania, U.S. District Court for the Middle District of Pennsylvania, U.S. District Court of New Jersey, United District Court of Appeals for the District of Columbia Circuit and Supreme Court of the United States of America.
He graduated from the University of Scranton with a Bachelor’s and Master’s of Business Administration. He obtained his juris doctorate from the Widener University School of Law. Prior to joining the firm, Michael was employed with DuPont Co. in Wilmington, DE, where he worked the financial areas of tax, credit, banking and financial reporting. Subsequent to law school, Michael was Assistant Counsel at the Medical Catastrophe Loss Fund of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania.
Michael is a member of the Peer Review Committee of the Maryland Attorney Grievance Commission, as well as active member of the Council on Litigation Management and Defense Research Institute (DRI).
Michael enjoys playing tennis and golf.
