Matthew Hindley is an Associate with Marks, O’Neill, O’Brien, Doherty & Kelly’s Delaware office. He is admitted to practice in Delaware, Pennsylvania and New Jersey. He is also a member of the Delaware Bar Association and serves as a volunteer for Wills for Heroes.
Matthew graduated from Lehigh University in 2005 with a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science. He attended Widener University School of Law, graduating in 2011, cum laude. During law school, he was awarded with the Certificate of Achievement in “Toxic Torts” for earning the highest grade in his class. He also was a member of the Moe Levine Trial Advocacy Honor Society and served as an Academic Support Fellow. During law school, Matthew interned at the Philadelphia District Attorney’s office, gaining experience in witness consultations and oral advocacy. During his third year of school, he was a judicial extern for the Honorable Barry C. Dozor in the Delaware County Court of Common Pleas (PA) where he gained experience in legal writing, and learned the intricacies of judicial decision-making.
Since joining Marks O’Neill in 2015, Matthew has represented clients in both Superior Court and Delaware’s Court of Chancery in cases dealing with premises liability, products liability and professional liability.
In his spare time, Matthew tries to stay active, and particularly enjoys golfing, running and softball. He also is the captain of team “Jason’s Jedi,” named in honor and memory of his cousin, in St. Jude’s Annual Walk/Run to End Childhood Cancer at the Philadelphia Zoo.
