Joan D. Daly is a Partner with Marks, O’Neill, O’Brien, Doherty & Kelly. She is admitted to practice in Pennsylvania, United States District Courts for the Eastern and Middle Districts of Pennsylvania. She is also a member of the American Bar Association, Philadelphia Bar Association, Pennsylvania Bar Association, Pennsylvania County Bar Association and Defense Research Institute.

Joan graduated from Villanova University in 1977, with a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science. She was elected to Pi Sigma Alpha, National Political Science Honor Society. She then attended Delaware Law School of Widener University, graduating in 1984. During law school, she clerked at the Delaware County District Attorney’s office and for the Honorable Joseph Labrum.

Joan has over thirty years of experience as an insurance defense litigator, including being the lead defense counsel in many cases that have been tried to verdict, as well as countless arbitrations and mediations. Her litigation experience ranges from environmental, auto, commercial trucking, products liability, construction, medical malpractice to coverage.

Prior to joining Marks O’Neill, Joan was the managing partner in a satellite office of a major law firm and a founding partner of a firm.

Since joining Marks O’Neill in 2009, Joan has continued to represent clients in the areas of auto, commercial trucking, products liability, construction, medical malpractice and coverage.

Joan has been selected numerous times as defense and/or neutral arbitrator for a number of insurance companies. She has lectured many times on civil trial practice and ADR. Joan has an AV Preeminent rating from Martindale-Hubbell.

Joan and her husband, Russ, are now empty nesters and live in the house Joan grew up in with 2 dogs and a cat.
